In October 2010, North Central Province Historian, Kevin Scott competed a two year research project in which he discovered previously unknown facts about Founder, Paul W. Caine. One fact of particular note was the final resting place of Founder Caine, in Rockford, Illinois. Upon visiting Founder Caine's gravesite, it was also discovered that he did not have a headstone to memorialize him.
We are excited to announce that the Fraternity has completed the construction of a headstone for Founder Caine, which proudly pays homage to him for all eternity. The Grand Chapter extends an invitation to all Brothers to attend the Paul W. Caine Memorial Dedication Ceremony, where we will formally unveil Founder Caine's headstone. The ceremony will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, 1011 Auburn Street, Rockford, IL 61103 on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 12 noon, SHARP. Our very own Grand Polemarch, William "Randy" Bates, Jr. Esq. will be in attendance and will lead the program. North Central Province Polemarch, Korlon Kilpatrick, II along with the North Central Province Jr. Vice Polemarch, Brandon Bradford will be present. Other dignitaries are expected to be in attendance as well. Proper attire of black/dark suit with red/crimson tie is requested.
Kappa fellowship will immediately follow the ceremony, at local restaurants (exact locations to be announced). This is a historical event of significant proportions. We look forward to having you there with us to dedicate his new headstone and be among the first to pay tribute to Founder Caine.
I look forward to seeing each Brother in attendance as this dedication will take place during the month/year of Founder Caine's 122nd birthday!
Special thanks goes to the Chicago (IL), Waukegan (IL), Milwaukee (WI) and Madison (WI) Alumni Chapters for assisting to make this event a success.
