The North Central Province, as a defined region of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., traces its origin to 1927. Archie A. Alexander, the sixth Grand Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi, appointed C. Leon Wilson the first North Central Province Polemarch following the adjournment of the 17th Grand Chapter Meeting in December 1927.
Brother Wilson was an initiate of the Beta Chapter and was instrumental in the early development of the fraternity. Prior to being named the Polemarch of the North Central Province, Wilson served on the Grand Board and was Polemarch of the Central Province.
